Help and support
Post and manage listings
Sign in, choose Post a listing, and add an accurate title, description, price, contact method, and optional photos. Choose the correct category and seller type. Most personal items remain free. Vehicles with posting fees, services, dealers, jobs, gigs, and commercial property share one free post per rolling seven days. Additional fee-category posts cost $3, or $5 for jobs. Submit for screening first. Clean paid posts proceed automatically to payment; flagged posts wait for review. Open My listings and select Pay and publish. The listing appears only after confirmed payment.
My account → My listings lets you edit, mark sold, remove, and restore eligible listings. Removed listings can be restored for 5 days before eligible content and photos are permanently cleaned up. Reported listings are held for review; cleanup may be delayed. Listings last 30 days; events end on the event date. Free listings can move to the top every 72 hours without extending expiration. Repost expired listings to start a new listing period.
Post each offering once, in its actual city and correct category. Duplicate active offerings are prohibited, even across cities or categories. Wait at least 48 hours before posting the same offering again. Each account may publish up to 3 new listings per rolling 24 hours and have 10 active listings. Publishing a draft or reposting counts toward the applicable allowance. Removing or selling a listing does not reset either allowance. Sold, removed, and expired listings free an active slot. Reaching either limit never starts billing. Expired listings disappear from public search and have a further 30-day recovery period. Sold listings have a 30-day recovery period; removed listings have a 5-day recovery period starting when marked that way. Afterward, daily cleanup during site activity removes photos and listing content; reported listings are held for review. Cleanup may run later if the site is inactive or processing a backlog. Cleaned-up listings cannot be restored or reposted; create a new listing.
Messages and direct contact
Open someone else’s active listing and choose Message seller to start a conversation inside GusList. Open My account → Messages to reply. The window checks for updates every 10 seconds while open. A Messages badge counts new incoming messages; opening a conversation marks the displayed messages as read. Badges update while GusList is open. Email alerts notify verified email accounts of new messages, subject to delivery limits. Manage them in My account → Email alerts. Repeated messages are limited to one email alert per hour; check Messages for all conversations. Push alerts are not enabled. Contact seller reveals the posted email or phone; replies sent through email or text stay outside GusList.
You cannot message yourself. To test buyer and seller conversations, use two different GusList accounts. My account shows which email is currently signed in. Browsing is public; sign in to post and message.
Find listings anywhere in the US
Choose any state, including Michigan, and enter an optional city to narrow your search. Posting supports cities and towns across all 50 states and Washington, DC. Enter the listing’s actual city and state. Save a search to return to those filters. Use Load more listings when additional results are available.
Location and photos
A map pin is optional and rounded to roughly a 100-meter grid. It is an approximate area, not an exact pickup address. Use my location asks for browser permission. Check the pin before posting. Known local cities may show their city center. Other listings without pins remain visible in the list; the app does not invent a city pin. Photos are re-encoded to remove embedded location metadata. Upload up to 20 photos per listing. Phone HEIC/HEIF photos and JPG, PNG, and WebP files are supported; photos are prepared and compressed before upload. New photos are resized and compressed to at most 512 KB. Shared storage, daily upload, and monthly photo-transfer limits may temporarily pause photos; text listings remain available.
Correct a listing
Open My account → My listings, open your listing, and choose Edit listing. You can change Category and Subcategory, then Save changes. Published changes are screened again before appearing publicly. Already-paid corrections do not incur another posting fee.
Listing review
New posts, reposts, restores, and edits to published listings remain hidden until review completes. When automatic screening is configured, eligible low-value household-item listings including first-time sellers may publish after passing text and photo checks. Paid posts that pass screening proceed to checkout automatically. Free posts outside the eligible household categories, flagged submissions, and unavailable screening require administrator review. Find submissions in My listings. The administrator uses My account → Moderation to inspect text and photos, approve allowed listings, remove violations, or suspend sellers. Pornography, sexual nudity, illegal goods, and controlled substances are prohibited. Screening is a risk signal, not verification of legality, ownership, identity, or safety. If automatic screening is not configured, all submissions require administrator approval.
Report a problem
Use Report listing on an ad to send it for review. For account, privacy, payment, or technical questions, email gustarraf@gmail.com. Include the listing link and a description of the problem. Never send passwords, payment card details, or verification codes.
Safe transactions
Buyers and sellers arrange transactions directly. GusList does not handle item purchases, shipping, deposits, or buyer protection. Inspect before paying and meet in a public place. For immediate danger, contact emergency services.
